Another adventure with Mindy!!!

Yes! our friend Mindy is now attending my saturday class and invited us to go to Chongqing Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street (Jiefangbei Shangye Buxingjie) 
(重庆解放碑步行街). But the adventure started  right after class... we went to Happy meal time dinning hall with her and her daughter ,  and went to a different stand, where we could basically choose from whatever in the display (any meat or vegetables) they give you one tray for meat and one for vegetables, and then they weight what you choose to calculate how much you will pay.. I think mine was about 16 Y

And after the meal Mindy´s daughter stopped by the bakery in Happy Meal  to buy something.

Y después de la comida, la hija de mindy pasó a la panadería que también está en Happy Meal , para comprar algo.






We walked to the subway station and rode on line 1 of the subway again to get off at Jiefangbei , first we went to see some stores and found a small shopping center... we went in there to see if we could find something (thermal pants, or a jacket) for winter. I also noticed that many stores sold Yarn and many chinese women were knitting:

Mindy wanted to get to the area where the river is so we continued walking, and on the way we found a place were they were selling dogs, dove eggs and doves

 And .... we got to the famous monument that is one of Chonqing´s
landmarks!

the People's Liberation Monument is one of the landmarks of Chongqing. The monument was originally built on March 12, 1940, it was a wooden memorial in honor of Sun Yat-Sen -First president of the republic of China ("the father of China").  In 1945, the government bult a monument replacing the old one, to celebrate the victory over Japan during World War II . In 1950, This place received its name  and in 1997 Jiefangbei Plaza was built around the monument. After 1949, the area around the People's Liberation Monument has gradually developed into the Central Business District of the city. There are many large department stores, restaurants and hotels, financial and entertainment  buildings .

We also walked around the area looking at some shops and admiring the art work outside the recently open museum of modern art..

También caminamos por los alrededores , viendo algunas de las tiendas y admirando las obras de arte fuera del recién abierto museo de arte moderno.
