Chongqing cable car

 Besides trying the famour rice noodles of Chonqing, Tina took us to  other tourist and historic  place Chongqing cable car, which was first put into operation in 1987 and is now the only cable car of its type in Chongqing. We crossed the Yangze River and enjoyed a different view of the cjity.

Chongqing: An outing to Eling Park

My New friend, Tina, invited us to know a little more of Chongqing, one of the places was Eling Park (Chinese: 鹅领公园) , built in 1909,  originally was the home of Li Yaoting (李耀庭), a rich businessman at the end of Qing Dynasty (1644–1911). The park was  called Edingling (Goose Nape Hill) due to its narrow and steep shape that resembles the nape of a goose. It is  located on Changjiang Road in the Yuzhong District of Chongqing This park is also known as 'courteous park' (宜园 Yí Yuán) and has lots of  plant species as well as a tower, the Liangjiang Pavilion, from which we could have an excellent view of the two rivers of chongqing.  the Yangtze River and Jialing River.

My nueva amiga, Tina, nos invitó a conocer un poco más de Chongqing, uno de los lugares fue el parque  Eling ( 鹅领公园) , construido en  1909,  originalmente la casa de  Li Yaoting (李耀庭), un rico hombre de negocios de finales de la djnastía  Qing  (1644–1911).  el parque se llamaba  Edingling (cerro del cogote de ganso ) debido a su forma angosta y empinada . localizado en la calle  Changjiang , distrito  Yuzhong   a este parque tambien se le conoce como "parque cortés"    (宜园 Yí Yuán) y contiene muchs especies de plantas así como una torre - Liangjiang Pavilion,- desde la cual pudimos tener una excelente vista de los dos rios de Chongqing.  el Yangtze y el Jialing.

CQUST Sports Meeting

Our university invited all international students and teachers to participate in the anual Sports meeting. First, our "delegation" participated in the opening ceremony, then students took part in the different disciplines . We teachers were invited to participate in a different place at some activities specifically planed for teachers, just for fun!

Nuestra universidad invitó a los estudiantes y maestros internacionales a participar en el evento deportivo (sports meeting) que organizan anualmente. primero, Nuestra "delegación" participó en la ceremonia de inauguración , después, los estudiantes tomaron parte en diferentes disciplinas A nosotros los maestros nos invitaron a participar en algunas actividades en un lugar diferente, en actividades especificamente planeadas para los maestros... sólo por diversión ( salto de cuerda, bolos, lanzamiento de "bala", etc) .

A piñata workshop at CQUST

Another enjoyable activity that Joselyn and I organized was a piñata workshop , for our chinese students , we talked about the history of the piñata which is not only conected to Italians, since its origins are traced back to... guess where!...... China!!!
We made that workshop in two sessions so our students could  have a complete experience !!!...

Otra actividad que disfrutamos mucho y que Joselyn y yo organizamos, fue un taller de piñatas para nuestros estudiantes chinos, ahí hablamos sobre la historia de la piñata, la cual no sólo está conectada con los italianos, ya que sus orígenes datan de... adivinen!... China!!!!

Hicimos el taller en dos sesiones para que nuestros estudiantes pudieran experimentar la experiencia completa!!!

Zanahorias, piñas, fresas y estrellas cobraron vida!

At the School of Arts

I woke up this weekend with the decire to take some pictures, thus I headed to the beautiful School of Arts, a delightful place with many many buildings and paths to enjoy!

Its beautiful "tile terraces", flowered corridors, pot decorations, roofs, lakes, bridges and statues sometimes reminded me of ancient roman times...with a touch of moderness of course!

 Desperté este fin de semana, con deseos de tomar algunas fotografías, así que me dirigí a la hermosa Escuela de Artes, un lugar encantador con muchos edificios y senderos por disfrutar!

Sus preciosas "terrazas de azulejos" , corredores con flores, decoraciones con ollas, tejados, lagos, puentes y  estatuas algunas veces me recordaron los antiguos tiempos romanos.... con un toque de modernidad, por supuesto!
