Minority Village, Kunming

At the hostel, we were told not to miss the Minority Village,http://www.chinatourguide.com/Kunming/yunnan_ethnic_village.html a HUGE place opened to the public in 1992 and where you can  know about  26 of the  ethnic minorities of China, all of them found in Yunnan Province (they  constitute a population of over 5,000 respectively). You can find a small village belonging to Each minority  and learn about  their unique culture. The  minorities are the following:Dai, Bai, Yi, Naxi, Wa, Lisu, Dulong, Nu, Zhuang, Hui, Miao, Shui, Yao, Mongolian, Tibetan, Jinuo, La’hu, Bulang, Hani, De’ang, Pumi, Man, Buyi, Jingpo, A’chang and Mosuo (a branch of Naxi). we were also  able to see some performances of some of these groups, and the elephants show... we practically spent the whole morning and part of the afternoon, and yet, we did not see it all!.   

  

And we also had the opportunity to taste some of their food !!!

En el hostal también nos sugirieron que no nos perdiéramos la visita a "La villa de las Minorías"  un  lugar ENORME inauguradoen 1992 y donde pudimos aprender algunas cosas sobre los 26 grupos minoritarios que habitan la provincia de Yunan (quienes constutuyen una población de más e 5,000 respectivamente). Ahí pudimos apreciar pequeñas "villas" pertenecientes a cada minoría y aprender un  poco sobre su cultura las minorías ahí encontradas son las siguientes :

Dai, Bai, Yi, Naxi, Wa, Lisu, Dulong, Nu, Zhuang, Hui, Miao, Shui, Yao, Mongol, Tibetana, Jinuo, La’hu, Bulang, Hani, De’ang, Pumi, Man, Buyi, Jingpo, A’chang y Mosuo (una rama de los Naxi). Pudimos ver algunas de las actuaciones de algunos de estos grupos , junto con el show de los elefantes... prácticamente pasamos la mañana entera y gran parte de la tarde y sin embargo, no lo vimos todo!   

  

Y tuvimos también la oportunidad de probar alguna de su comida!!!
