KUNMING LANTERNS

Since we spent our Chinese New Year break traveling, we had te chance to see one more tradition linked to this festivity; the lanterns . We saw some very beautiful lanterns back in Kunming. Chinese New Year is the most important and, at 15 days, the longest holiday in China (that´s why we were able to see different things in the different places we viisted)

. Chinese New Year begins on the first day of the lunar calendar, so it is also called Lunar New Year, and it is considered the beginning of spring, so it is also called Spring Festival (no wonder why I was totally confused when I heard different names for it jaja ) . 

Ya que pasamos las vacaciones del Año Nuevo Chino viajando, tuvimos la oportunidad de ver una tradición más que está ligada a esta festividad: las linternas. Vimos unas linternas hermosas de regreso en Kunming. El año nuevo chino la celebración más larga (15 días)  y la más importante para los chinos .  (por eso pudimos ver diferentes cosas en los diferentes lugares que visitamos )

 El año nuevo chino empieza el primer día del calendario lunar , así que también se le llama Año Nuevo Lunar y se le considera el inicio se la primavera, por lo que también se le llama "festival de primavera" (con razón estaba totalmente confundida cuando escuchaba los diferentes nombres para lo mismo  jajaja ) .
